High Voltage – Cranston’s contribution to the NWO(US)HM

I don’t know all that much about these guys except that one of the band members lived in Cranston, RI, across the street from a friend.  I used to hang out at his house after school when we were in 7th and 8th grade (1980-1981).  I recall hearing them practice, and one day we each bought a copy of their single.  If I remember correctly, one or both of the songs got some airplay on Providence’s rock station, 94HJY.  This 7″ is called Blazing Rock, and has the two tracks “Late Night Ryder” and “Little Girls“.  Solid rock in the NWOBHM style.

  1. Cool, I didn’t know Cranston had any NWOBHM-style bands.
